The Pony and the Pig - every year the New Forest Commoners who have the right, turn out their pigs onto the New Forest in Autumn to eat the fallen acorns, this is the ancient Forest right of Pannage. Horses frequently aren’t keen on pigs, but this is the first time Rowena has seen quite such a stand off between a New Forest Pony and a pig, they stared at each other across the river for a full five minutes! - Rowena Padel
