Lake District Trivia
The Lake District is the wettest place in England, but where is the wettest inhabited location in the Lakes? And as a bonus question where is the wettest place in the world? view answer
Seathwaite in Borrowdale is usually accepted as the wettest place in England - about 3,250mm of rain per year.
The town of Cherrapunjee, in the north-eastern Indian state of Meghalaya, is apparently the wettest place in the world - an average of 11,952mm of rain per year (approaching four times as much rain as the Lakes!)
The next update will be posted on Sunday evening, have a good weekend
