A rare self portrait of Ann whilst clambering through Gorse on the ascent up Top o'Selside, she says "as AW said... I ought to have more bloody sense at my age" - I think she is a great example to us all [Friday 25/9/2008 by Ann Bowker]

Broad Stand from Broadcrag Tarn. According to Birkett this is the highest tarn in the Lake District at 827m ...but Sean thinks it could be beaten by Foxes tarn at 837m and Long Top Tarn (Crinkle Crags) at 854m. [Thursday 24/9/2008 See more from Sean McMahon]

Wastwater [Thursday 25/9/2008 by The Lake Landers]

Artwork at the Kirkstone Slate Galleries (It is, I think, a Coelacanth, a prehistoric fish once thought to be extinct but found living in modern times)

This section shows photographs from Lake District Now visitors going about their daily lives. If you would like to take part please take a suitable photograph and .

This was the best of about 30 pictures of this Southern Hawker (Aeshna cyanea) on Iping Common, West Sussex. I think it is a male because the markings at the end of it's abdomen are blue rather than green [28/9/2008, my own picture]
The good weather brought everyone out at the weekend, I don't think there has been another day where all the Lake District Now contributors have had photos on the same briefing.
