Maryport's new £3m cultural facility
The Wave Centre, a £3m visitor attraction, has officially opened in Maryport. It is a community and cultural facility, which will be used for a wide range of activities and exhibitions. It includes a 230-seat cinema, concert hall, conference centre, heritage exhibitio, cafe and tourist information centre. The centre's name comes from its shape, and the town's association with the sea.
