This used to be a farm but is now a self catering cottage and part of High Arnside Farm. It is Owned by the National Trust.

Destroy Himalayan Balsam at Bassenthwaite

Volunteers are needed to help destroy a plant which is apparently ruining the Lake District landscape. The Himalayan Balsam is an aggressive plant which causes soil erosion and wipes out other species in the summer months at Bassenthwaite.
