High Borrowdale farm

High Borrowdale is situated between Kendal and Shap, the farm was described by Wainwright as "once a farmhouse of distinction in a beautiful situation.... Now a derelict ruin in a beautiful situation"

Newby Bridge is a small village at the southern end of Lake Windermere. It got its name from the five-arched stone bridge built in 1651, either the bridge has shrunk or the photo cuts off the fifth arch.
