Clapham claims to be the busiest railway station in Britain, however this is by throughput - it is far less highly ranked by the standard measure of journeys originated at the station, as most passengers pass straight through.

80 year old man dies falling from Striding Edge

An 80-year old man from Threlkeld, near Keswick, was killed when he fell 300ft (91.4m) from Striding Edge, Helvellyn.
