Swinside stone circle, near Broughton in Furness [2/5/2008 by Anne Bowker]

It consists of 55 stones set in a ninety foot diameter circle and dates from the Bronze Age. Apparently there is midwinter sunrise marker looking from the centre of the circle at the two southernmost portal stones.
