Runnymede, Windsor, Surrey with the The Air Forces Memorial in the distance [8.00am on 2/5/2008, my own picture]
The Magna Carta, enshrining man's basic freedoms under law, was sealed here by King John in 1215. The Air Forces Memorial, more commonly referred to as the Runnymede Memorial, commemorates over 20,000 men who died during World War Two.
