Levens Hall [21/4/2008 by David and Edith Brown]

Levens Hall is a magnificent Elizabethan mansion built around a 13th Century pele tower, which was expanded and rebuilt towards the end of the 16th Century.

The garden dates from 1694 and through a combination of circumstance and love the gardens have survived in their original design. The topiary is some of the oldest in the world and justifiably famous.
